Advanced Search Options
("Sort by" and "Date Range" options)

The IOMA.com Search Engine uses most of the standard search techniques. Some of the most common that you might be interested in using are...

  • Search for exact phrases using quotation marks (" ")
Typing "monthly close" will find items with those exact words in sequence (and may give you fewer results).
  • Use the minus sign (-) to narrow your search
If you enter monthly -close, that tells the search engine to include the word monthly but not close. Don't forget - there's no space after the sign.
  • Use a wildcard (*) for multiple endings
By typing an * (asterisk symbol) at the end of a word, you can search for items with multiple endings. For example: warn* would return items such as warns, warnings, etc.
