Report on Salary Surveys

Since bad news about the economy and the job market abounds, it is little wonder that everyone is worrying about their employment situation. The annual Engineering Salary Survey from Machine Design found that 68 percent of engineers said they were unsure of their job’s stability. However, only 39 percent of their companies have terminated employees in the last year. In addition, overall salaries are up to $81,200, compared to $78,300 from last year.
