Taking Credit Where Credit Is Due (and Legal) Against the Minimum Wage

The Fair Labor Standards Act establishes minimum wage and overtime provisions. Section 6 requires each employee not specifically exempted, who is covered under the act, to receive a specific minimum wage. The current federal minimum wage is $5.85 an hour.
