Payroll Manager's Report

Electronic distribution of year-end wage and tax statements is an emerging best practice that increases payroll productivity and efficiency in a short period. Research done by the Hackett Group in 2006 shows that while just 36 percent of payroll departments used electronic means to distribute Forms W-2, 83 percent of the payroll departments that were not currently using electronic distribution were planning to implement this practice within the next two years. This made 2008 the target year for implementing this new system.
