In Perspective: Retiree Medical Costs Jump 4.7 Percent in One Year, Survey Shows

Employees and employers aren’t the only ones feeling the crunch of rising health care costs. A new study released by Fidelity Investments (Boston; www.fidelity.com) shows that a 65-year-old couple retiring in 2008 will need approximately $225,000 to cover medical costs in retirement.
