Jonathan D. Casher, APM

An original instructor of the Accounts Payable Certification Programs, created and managed by IOMA and The Accounts Payable Network (TAPN), Jon joined the Institute of Management and Administration (IOMA) as a senior consultant in 2006. His depth of experience and many ongoing projects relating to Accounts Payable make him one of the premier thought leaders in the field.


Jon was the co-founder and Chairman of RECAP, a leading audit and profit recovery firm, where he was responsible for strategic planning and overall direction. Now, as President of Casher Associates, Jon continues to serve the accounts payable community as an expert speaker, consultant and planner. He recently served as a member of the Board of Directors and as the head of the Audit Committee of a NASDAQ listed company.


Jon has been a guest lecturer on IT technology and entrepreneurship at the Harvard Business School, M.I.T.’s Sloan School of Management and Boston University; and has taught graduate courses in Computer Science at Boston University and Northeastern University.


Jon received his B.S. degree in Operations Research from Cornell University, his S.M. in Management from M.I.T.’s Sloan School of Management and his Accounts Payable Manager (APM) certification from IOMA. He’s written two books, 50 articles and speaks at over 20 conferences, web casts and audio conferences each year.


Ted Klein APM
AP & PCard Consultant
Former Head of Accounts Payable at General Motors


Considered one of the industry’s leading authorities on PCard controls, global programs, temporary labor, process integration and implementing electronic expense report software, Ted Klein’s knowledge is extensive.


Ted is renowned for leading the cross-functional team at General Motors (GM) that received the 2002 Presidents’ Award for consolidating the GM purchasing fleet and travel cards into the GM Corporate Card. “A convenient one - card solution”, the GM Card grew to be one of the largest, most successful programs globally and is frequently used by other companies as a benchmark.


Ted began his career at General Motors in 1978 as a senior member of the financial staff, conducting a number of benchmarking studies for the corporation that resulted in significant productivity improvements and cost savings, including: automation of T&E, adoption and implementation of purchasing and fleet card programs, electronic time slip process for payment of temporary labor, interactive voice response system, EFT payments, imaging and workflow, EDI and evaluated receipts settlement process.


Prior to retiring from GM in 2002, Ted held several managerial positions, within accounts payable, corporate benchmarking, payroll, expense reporting, budgeting and internal control. Currently, he owns a financial consulting firm and is busy assisting industry leaders in both public and private sectors to implement new or improve upon existing financial processes.


Ted received his degree in business from the University of Michigan.
