IOMA is pleased to bring you this fast-paced, one-day training program that will quickly get you up to speed on a dozen areas that comprise the primary responsibilities of today’s multi-tasking AP specialist, including: invoice handling, checks, 1099s, e-invoicing, and audits. The program is ideal to train new staff in a hurry, to give long-term staff a refresher course, and to prepare to take the accounts payable specialist (APS) or accounts payable manager (APM) certification exam, presented by IOMA and The Accounts Payable Network (TAPN). By the end of the day, all attendees will be prepared for the certification exam (optional), which can be taken either directly following the program or online, at a later date.
This updated training program for Form 1099 reporting compliance will show attendees not only what is reportable but which payees are reportable .
You will learn:
- How the new gross receipts reporting affects your credit card reporting obligation
- How to determine whether a Form W-9 you receive from the vendor is reliable
- How to identify reportable payments
- Which payees are exempt from reporting, and what documentation is needed to support exemption
- How to distinguish between U.S. and non-U.S. persons, and how to apply the 30% withholding requirement to payments of U.S. source income

Substitutions & Cancellations: Should you be unable to attend for any reason, please inform us IN WRITING prior to September 20, 2010 and IOMA will give you a full refund less a $100 administrative fee. If you cancel after September 20, 2010, you may request a courtesy transfer to use at any IOMA event of equal or lesser value. The courtesy transfer must be used within one year of the date of your originally scheduled event.
