AP Certification Renewal and CEU's

Current APM (Accounts Payable Manager) or APS (Accounts Payable Specialist) holders retain their certification by meeting Continuing Education Unit (CEU) requirements. It is the responsibility of each APM or APS to contact IOMA to report their professional activities. The CEU request form is provided below and also appears in Appendix C of the AP Certification Programs bulletin. A list of the standard CEU programs/events is also provide below. APM or APS holder may also attend approved local AP activities, events or seminars for CEU credits.

Payables Managers require 30 CEUs (36 for distinction) every 24 months to automatically renew their APM certification. Payables Specialists need 20 CEUs (26 for distinction) every 24 months to automatically renew their APS certification.

An AP Department certification would required that all APM or APS members maintain their accreditation. The certified membership in an APD cannot fall below 60% to maintain its AP Department certification.
